Made from real goat hooves  from traditional “chapchas” (traditional Andean rattle instrument).  Each pair is one of a kind. Each pair is  hand-carved into a  hoop, polished with beeswax , and hand fitted with an appropriate hook size.  Brass Chakana (Incan cross) detail on the inside of the hoop. The Chakana embodies the spirits of the animals native to the Andes (the puma, the condor, the snake), the principles of love, living, and productivity, and the realms of the underworld, current world, and upper world.
